Golf - Course Rules
The rules of R&A and USGA, as well as the rules described below will prevail. Those rules have to be strictly followed during all the passage of the Transamérica Ocean Course:
MARKING OF THE FIELD
Yellow stakes: Frontal water hazards
Red stakes: Lateral water hazards
Orange stakes or lines from them: Terrain under repair
White stakes: Off the course
MOVEABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
Demarcation stakes for hazards and terrain under repair, markers, stakes and nylon ropes for delimiting the cartways, mangroves, rakes and benches.
MARKING OF DISTANCE TO THE CENTER OF THE GREEN
Colored disks at the sides of the fairways:
Red: 100 yards
White: 150 yards
Blue: 200 yards
Gold: 250 yards
FIXED OBSTRUCTIONS
Stopcocks, pumps, drainage pipes, masonry walls, sprinklers and valves (green top), rain shelters, tee markers, distance markers, rake supports, ball washers, trash baskets, blue stakes that serve as supports for growing trees, constructions in general.
BALL IN THE SAND
Balls in the sand that surrounds and crosses the course: These must be played as if in rough.
Drop areas: Balls in the water hazards may be played from the drop area, when so defined via signposts, or otherwise according to the rules.
Doubts: In the event of doubt, play two balls and take the matter to the course commission.
