Golf
To attend amateurs and professional golfers, the Comandatuba Ocean Course is a golf course with 18 international category holes.
Projected and executed by the American architect Dan Blankenship, the course is totally integrated to the natural island landscape, between the sea and the fen, in an ambience dominated by centenaries coconut trees, sand dunes, beautiful lakes and native vegetation. Not including the rich local fauna and flora, monkeys, birds, foxes, "tamanduas" and "jupatis".
It presents an uneven ground which combined to the ocean wind and the sand dunes challenge the players' skills every moment
The Comandatuba Ocean Course is credited to receive international circuit competitions, with a total area of 780 thousand m2 where 222 thousand are grass. In November, 2003 it was nominated by the Golf Digest magazine as the greatest golf course of Brazil.
The complex offers also the Ocean View Bar and a specialized store with accessories and equipments for the sport practice.
